This duplex property development was designed in-house by our building designer for a retired couple. The couple already owned the property and were looking to downsize and to maximise their property’s potential.
This site had the potential to be a triplex development site, however, after meeting with our client and hearing their vision and purpose, we custom designed and built a larger home at the front of the property for them to occupy and a smaller villa unit at the rear to be a rental.
The front unit was designed with features such as an internal courtyard to bring more light into the living area and the master bedroom, along with full height tiling and modern tap ware to all bathrooms and the laundry.
With a chef’s kitchen and generous open planned living and dining that leads out onto analfresco area that stretches the length of the house, there will be many hours of family memories made here.
The couple that owns the property had made many special memories in their old home and had one wish…. to use their old front door in their new property, we incorporated this in their new home.
The rear unit was also a generous size. It was designed with three bedrooms and a bedroom/flexible room that leads of the living area to increase the size of the entertaining space when required.
The unit had its own driveway that leads to a double garage with a shopper door for security. Again with two bathrooms, open plan living, alfresco and standard specifications this property was perfect for being a rental.
